About Google PageRank

Google PageRank

1st What is PageRank and why should I care?

PageRank is a formula that has a value on every page in Google's index. Google displays search results based on an algorithm, the value of PageRank. So the higher your site's PageRank, the more likely it is that you get a top-list on the search results page when someone types in keywords for your site....

2nd How can I PageRank my own or other sites?

It is very easy to see that someone PageRank. Simply download and install the Google Toolbar. It is a very fast and easy installation. Just be sure to select the Advanced option during the installation, so that the PageRank of each site you visit on the toolbar.

3rd How is PageRank calculated?

I have seen a formula for the PageRank on Internet sites and forums, but have failed to see someone give a satisfactory explanation for the formula. The formula seems so complex that you had to be a mathematician to even have a chance to decipher it anyway. It looks like this:

PR (A) = (1-d) + d (PR (t1) / C (t1) + + PR ... (tn) / C (tn))

I will try to explain it in plain English. In principle it works as follows. The more links to your site the higher your PageRank. The higher the PageRank the national side with your link to him, the more PageRank, Google will provide you. For every outgoing link, a page has, the value of these compounds. For example, a link from one page with a page rank of 4, and only 3 other links, is worth more than a page with a PageRank of 5 and 100 links. It also believes that Google has more value on a link comes from a page with similar content. As you can see, there are many variables in the calculation of PageRank.

4th How can I change my PageRank?

Also PageRank can be increased by the number of incoming links to your site from other sites on the Internet. In addition, it requires anywhere from five to seven times more to move from a level of PageRank on the next one.

For example, (and this is no real formula), if 100 PageRank 3 pages with a link to your page to enter a PageRank of 4, then it would be around 500 more PageRank 3-pages a link to you before you were PageRank 5. However, we would have 1 link from a PageRank 8 page, which may be sufficient to provide a higher PageRank by its self. It really is all relative and try to make a rhyme just go crazy, so you will not bother. :) The best thing you can do is keep as many quality incoming links from other sites with similar content as you possibly can.

Another important factor is the number of pages on your site. The more pages on your site, the more potential you win in PageRank. More pages does not mean that you will receive a higher PageRank only that you have not hit a ceiling. Apparently Google has cut off point somewhere on the highest PageRank will give on sites with a small number of pages.

5th When will my PageRank update or change?

According to the Google website, they update the index about once a month. However, if you spend a lot of time reading forums search engine, you will notice that the results for every webmaster. PageRank may not update or change drastically for a long time is often inexplicable. In general, as long as you follow good site optimization techniques and maintain enough quality incoming links, the content will ultimately assign PageRank your site and make any changes made in error. http:// www.most-relevant-links.com
